Installation, setup and troubleshooting

Your new Mac will come almost ready to go, requiring minimal setup and interaction to get you going. That said, if you’re wanting to get connected to the web, maybe via wireless or home networking, there’s a bit more work involved. When you buy your new Mac, we can advise on the best equipment for your office or home, integration with other computers (including existing PCs and servers).

Although Macs are generally trouble-free and easy to setup, there are occasions when they misbehave. The huge majority of software and network problems can be fixed on location, and we’re able to offer that service at an attractive rate.

We can also offer a ‘spring clean’ service for your Macs – and give you no obligation advice on how to increase the performance at low cost.

Domestic buying and switching advice

If you want a Mac for home, but you’re not sure what you need, we can help you. If you’re using a PC and you’re not happy with it (perhaps it’s slow, crashes, is prone to viruses and other junk you don’t want to deal with), a Mac should definitely be on your shortlist if you’re in the market for an upgrade.

We can advise you, either face to face or over the web, about choices and the best places to buy from. Not all Apple retailers are the same, and through our involvement with numerous retailers we can point you in the direction of the good deals.

Drop us a line and we can schedule a chat. No obligation, no worries.

Consultancy

Drawing from a solid background in both Mac and Windows environments, we are perfectly positioned to offer consultancy to your organisation, whether you’re a one person home worker, small startup or established business.

We have access to a wide range of trusted people and companies who, on our recommendation, can undertake virtually anything you want to do. Thames Valley Macs balance cost and quality, so while we can’t guarantee the cheapest solution, we can tell you about the best.
